POLAND JUDICIAL SYSTEM

The judicial system (judicial system) of Poland is the totality of all courts of the state, endowed with the exclusive competence to administer justice, based on common principles of organization and activity.

Justice in Poland is administered by courts: the Supreme Court, courts of general jurisdiction, administrative courts and military courts (Article 175 paragraph 1 of the Constitution of Poland).

In the media, often, but incorrectly, the prosecutor’s office is also included in the judiciary, while the prosecutor is a law enforcement agency (like the police, for example). In addition, in times of war, the constitution allows for the creation of special courts or the establishment of a special procedure. Proceedings in court have at least two instances.
